Our Intellectual Accounts

To the Editor:

My wife and I have been retired since 1999. Property tax increases each year are of great concern.

To not fund the education of our young people is far more serious, in my view. To quote Nicholas Kristof in Sunday’s New York Times Op/Ed, “Our competitiveness as a nation in coming decades will be determined not only by our financial accounts but also by our intellectual accounts.”
