IRS Seeks Volunteers

HARTFORD — The IRS is seeking volunteers to help distribute federal tax forms and publications in area post offices and libraries.

The volunteers will help taxpayers identify and obtain necessary forms and publications, stock the forms area, and advise taxpayers where they can go for tax assistance.

These individuals are asked to volunteer for at least four hours each week through the end of the tax-filing season in mid-April. Those interested should contact the local IRS Taxpayer Education Office at 860/756-4655.
