Master Chorale Has Openings
SOUTH BRITAIN â The Connecticut Master Chorale, under the direction of Tina Johns Heidrich, announces openings in the alto section for its upcoming season.
The Chorale will present its annual Holiday Prelude Concert on November at St Mary Church in Bethel. The concert will be accompanied by a brass and percussion ensemble and steel drums.
The Choraleâs March concert will include a new composition, Stabat Mater by Karl Jenkins. A tenth anniversary concert celebrating CMCâs first decade is being planned for May and will feature highlights from their the groupâs ten-year history.
The March and May concerts will be both be performed at St Rose of Lima Church in Newtown, with accompaniment by the Connecticut Master Chorale Orchestra.
Rehearsals begin in September and take place on Tuesday evenings from 7:30 to 9:30 at South Britain Congregational Church.
The Connecticut Master Chorale is an ensemble of 55 vocalists in western Connecticut. In addition to its regular three-concert season, the chorale has performed at the White House, Carnegie Hall, Madison Square Garden and West Point Military Academy.
