Garner Prison Inmate Charged With Assault
About 1:30 pm June 18, state police responded to a complaint that involved a Garner Correctional Institution inmate and a correction officer at the stateâs high-security prison on Nunnawauk Road.
State police said their investigation found that inmate Joseph Ogman, 33, had thrown urine on the correction officer. State police charged Ogman with assault on a public safety officer and with refusal to be fingerprinted.
Ogman was scheduled for arraignment June 19 in Danbury Superior Court. Ogman has been held by the state as a prisoner since May on a controlling pending charge of first-degree assault.
