Blessing Of Animals This Weekend

There are three animal blessings scheduled for this weekend as follows:

 

St. Rose Saturday at 9

The annual Blessing of Animals at St Rose will be held Saturday at 9 am. Everyone is welcome. It will be held at the stable to the right of the school. All animals should be on a leash or in a carrier. Come celebrate the feast of St. Francis, the guardian of all animals.

 

Trinity Saturday at 10

Blessing of the Animals at Trinity Episcopal Church, 36 Main Street, will be Saturday morning. The annual celebration in honor of Saint Francis of Assisi will be incorporated into an outdoor worship service beginning at 10 am at the church’s playground. All animals (stuffed or live) and their owners are welcome.

 

United Methodist Sunday at 2

Newtown United Methodist Church will host its annual Blessing of the Pets this Sunday at 2 pm, in the outdoor worship area behind the church (near the river), 92 Church Hill Road. Pastor Mel Kawakami and Pastor Dick Yerrington will bless them.
