Dental Associates Trumbull Office Welcomes Three Newcomers

TRUMBULL — Pediatric dentist Dr Patrick W. McGary of Wethersfield has joined Dental Associates of Connecticut’s Danbury office at 36 Padanaram Road (Route 37) and Trumbull office at 160 Hawley Lane. The family-oriented general and specialty dental practice also has offices in Newtown and New Milford.

Dr McGary is currently a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He graduated from UConn’s School of Dental Medicine in Farmington and remained at the school to receive his advanced education in general dentistry (AEGD) certification in 2006. Since June of 2006, he has trained in UConn’s pediatric dental residency program and will receive certification this July. From 1997 to 2001, Dr McGary was on the Dean’s Lists of honor students at the State University of New York at Purchase where he received his bachelor of science degree in biology in 2001.

Dr Aaron Gilman, a resident of Newtown and orthodontic specialist at the practice’s New Milford and Newtown offices, and Dr Robert Galella, a general dentist with Dental Associates’ Danbury office, have also joined the staff at Dental Associates’ Trumbull office.

Board certified orthodontist Dr Gilman has been practicing with Dental Associates’ New Milford and Newtown offices since 2002. He has been trained in the most current digital imaging and esthetic procedures, including Invisalign braces, which enable him to create spectacular smiles for children and adults. He has been recognized by the Invisalign Corporation as one of the top 100 doctors in the country using Invisalign invisible braces.

Dr Gilman completed his residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago Department of Orthodontics where he earned his certificate in orthodontics. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, and the Northeast Society of Orthodontics. He earned his bachelor of science degree (summa cum laude) in materials engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute; doctor of dental surgery (DDS) (cum laude) from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dentistry; master of science degree in biophysics from the State University of New York at Buffalo; and a master of science degree in oral science from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Department of Orthodontics.

Dr Galella has been practicing with Dental Associates’ Danbury office since 2004, and he provides a full range of dental services from preventive to cosmetic dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the United States Air Force Reserves. He has four years experience with the United States Air Force, as Head of Preventive Dentistry and Orthodontics at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Fla.

He completed his undergraduate work in biology at the State University of New York in Albany, and received his degree as doctor of dental surgery from Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine in New York. Dr Galella is also a member of the Adult Hockey League at the Danbury Ice Arena.
