Comedy Has Returned To Danbury
DANBURY â Treehouse Comedy Club will stage a Grand Re-Opening Comedy Celebration on for Saturday, June 18, with a triple headlined show. The Treehouse will also stage its first celebrity comedy artist in its new room at the New Sorrento on June 25.
This weekend the club will celebrate the re-opening of the stateâs second full-time comedy club in Connecticut. To help celebrate the event the Treehouse has put together three hilarious headliners to kick-off the evening: The night will also feature a complimentary champagne toast, balloons, and a backstage party with the comics.
Performers Saturday night will be the comic and ventriloquist Pete Michaels, who has been seen on Late Night with Conan OâBrien and Comedy Central; Moody McCarty (seen on Jimmy Kimmell Live, Star Search, CBS Morning Show, and Comcastâs Comedy Spotlight) and the very funny Ray Mogenis.
Showtime is 9:30 and tickets are $15.
On June 25 The Treehouse will present Bob Nelson, the star of four HBO Specials.
Nelson catapulted into the national spotlight after appearing in one of Rodney Dangerfieldâs Young Comedian Specials.
He not only went on to tour with the late great Rodney Dangerfield, Mr Nelson also went on to star in his own HBO comedy specials. He has also appeared on The Tonight Show, Letterman, A&E and MTV. He has been featured or starred in the movies This Is My Life, Kindergarten Cop and Brain Donors.
âThe Coachâ Tom Whitely will be the opening act.
Showtime is 8 pm and tickets are $20.
