Starlight Dedication Ball Will Celebrate

Dedication Of New St Rose Gathering Hall

On Saturday, December 13, at 6:30 pm, the new St. Rose Gathering Hall will be transformed into an illumination of stars for the Starlight Dedication Ball, an elegant semiformal evening of fine dining, dancing and special entertainment, and surprises for everyone attending.

The event was conceptualized as a way for the entire St Rose community to come together and celebrate the completion of the church’s new campus facility after six years of planning and two years of construction.

“It’s time to commemorate our achievement as a community that has worked so hard to see this dream become a reality,” says Monsignor Robert Weiss, St Rose’s pastor.

The evening will begin with a champagne toast and a special appearance by the children of St Rose parish. Later, guests will enjoy an open bar and a five-course dinner by Chris Angione of Carriage House Catering. Specializing in celebrity events, Carriage House is the longtime caterer for the annual fundraising gala for Paul Newman’s Hole in the Wall Gang Camp.

Dancing accompanied by JK Entertainment, an 11-piece swing orchestra based in New York City, and a special guest entertainer will round out the evening.

The event co-chairs are event planners Stephanie DeBartolomeo and Tracy Brady, who planned St Rose’s spectacular Crystal Ball Galas, held in 2006 and 2007.

Space is limited and tickets, priced at $125 per person, will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Proceeds of the event will be used towards the new facility, which is used to educate more than 2,500 parish children weekly and will accommodate parish events and meetings throughout the year.
