Date Announced For 69th Annual NSA Ball
Date Announced For
69th Annual NSA Ball
On Saturday, February 4, Newtown Scholarship Association will host its 69th annual Scholarship Ball to benefit students from Newtown.
The Scholarship Ball is one of the major annual fundraisers for the NSA, and this yearâs ball promises to be jut that: a ball (of fun)! It will take place at the beautiful Waterview, overlooking Lake Zoar on Route 34 just over the Monroe line.
Cocktails and hors dâoeuvres will begin at 7 pm, followed by dinner at 8 and dancing to DJ Dan for the remainder of the evening. An open bar serving top-shelf liquor will be provided all evening.
Among the festivities will be silent and live auctions, featuring sports tickets, Broadway theater tickets, trips, and much more.
Newtown Scholarship Association was established as a nonprofit organization in 1937 to promote and advance the education of secondary school graduates by providing financial assistance to promising students.
Originally a single scholarship of $50 was awarded. In 2005 NSA awarded over $210,000 in scholarships to about 75 Newtown students. Since 1937 nearly $2.5 million has been awarded to Newtown students pursuing higher education.
All are welcome to attend the NSA Scholarship Ball.
The cost is $100 per person or, for those who would like Patron status, $250 per couple.
