HORSE Activities

WASHINGTON — The Humane Organization Representing Suffering Equines (HORSE) of Connecticut, a 501 (c) (3) horse rescue organization, 43 Wilbur Road, will host a Volunteer Day on Saturday, April 2, from 9 am to 4 pm. The day will include a spring clean-up, fixing fences, mucking paddocks, grooming, and walking horses. Volunteers are asked to bring their own tools if possible. Lunch will be provided.

HORSE will host a Basic Horse Care Clinic on Saturday, April 16 from 10 am to noon. Attendees will work with rehabilitated horses. Vet and farrier demonstrations will be held, and attendees will have an opportunity to learn about feed, hay, teeth, shots, wormers, and shelters. Cost is $10 per person, and attendees are asked to register in advance by calling 860-868-1960.
