Police said the original drug charges stemmed from a nighttime incident last July 3 behind Ricky’s Shopping Center at 71 South Main Street. In that incident, police said they had their German shepherd sniff Philippi’s vehicle and the dog located drugs and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.

On February 2, police released Phillipi on $2,000 bail for a February 13 court appearance.
