Dr Ugolik Lobbies For Chiropractic Assn
Dr Lori L. Ugolik, former Newtown resident, now a Georgia chiropractor, represented the mid-Georgia area for the International Chiropractic Associationâs lobbying session in Washington D.C. last week.
Dr Ugolik is serving a two-year term as an assembly representative for the ICA. Currently, the ICA is trying to establish a chiropractic division in the Veteranâs Health Administration and is also lobbying for Medicare.
Dr Ugolik is also the recipient of the Greater Macon Woman Business Ownerâs HATS Off (Higher Achievement Through Service) Award for outstanding public service. She has sponsored Kidâs Day America, which co-ordinates the sheriffâs, fire, police departments, DARE, Georgia Power, American Red Cross, AAA, Cherry Blossom Committee, Optimist Club and Humane Associations of Georgia to promote childrenâs safety and wellness, for two consecutive years. Last year she was selected to volunteer her chiropractic services at the Central American and Caribbean Games in Maracaibo, Venezuela with the Costa Rican Olympic team. This March she will be donating her services with the Michigan Chiropractic Council to work in China.
Dr Ugolik has been active working on congressional, senatorial, gubernatorial and presidential campaigns and hosted a party for the current Georgia Governor Roy Barnes. She has been active serving on the Humane Associations of Georgia Board for four years, the Network of Women in Business Board and was membership secretary for three years, is president-elect of the Greater Macon Women Business Owners, Georgia assembly representative for the International Chiropractic Association, Georgia Representative for the Life University International Alumni Association, Life University Presidentâs Circle member, Ohio University Atlanta Alumni Association Vice-President Ex-Officio, an active member of the Career Womenâs Network, Noonday Optimist Club, Georgia Democratic Party, Bibb County Democratic Party and Program Chairwoman of the Bibb County Womenâs Democratic Party.
