About St Rose School
St Rose School Principal Mary Maloney recently presented Rotarians with a PowerPoint presentation on the school, currently enrolling 267 students from prekindergarten through eighth grade.
St Roseâs goal, Ms Maloney explained, is for students to grow in age, wisdom, and grace. Last year, students ranked in the top 15 percent of the widely acclaimed Iowa achievement exam. Statistically, more than 90 percent of St Rose School graduates pursue postsecondary education at colleges and universities including Yale, West Point, Boston College, and Fairfield University.
The schoolâs full-time and part-time faculty consist of certified lay teachers as well as religious teachers who meet or exceed Diocesan and state requirements. All are dedicated, said Ms Maloney, to developing each studentâs best academic potential.
St Rose School is involved in Rotaryâs âStudent of the Monthâ program. The programâs aim is to highlight those students who show their dedication not only to their schoolwork but also to their community with their community service volunteer projects.
