Maria Jurak

A Kind And

Loving Heart

Maria “Mary” Jurak, 78, of Fairfield, died March 30. She was born January 12, 1931, in Oberndorf-Tyroll, Austria.

Three daughters survive her, including Christine Daigle, and her husband, John, of Newtown; as well as seven grandchildren; a brother; and many friends and relatives.

Mrs Jurak was best known for her wonderful Austrian cookies, which she baked every year for her family and friends, and she loved her Austrian music and her beautiful geraniums. She was known for her beautiful smile with a twinkle in her eye. She had a kind and loving heart and will be deeply missed by those who knew her.

The family would like to thank the staff at St Vincent’s: Carolton, Gaylord, and Dr Fernow; and Nancy Lombard from Agency on Aging for all their help and kindness.

Funeral services were held April 2. Interment followed in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield.
