Meet And Greet Many Of Newtown's Authors And Book Illustrators
Meet And Greet Many Of Newtownâs Authors And Book Illustrators
Meet and greet forty of Newtownâs talented writers and illustrators at the C.H. Booth Libraryâs Newtown Authors and Book Illustrators Champagne Reception on Sunday, June 28, at 2 pm.
The reception is being planned for a day when the library is closed, so registration is required (and limited).
The libraryâs Newtown Authors & Illustrators Collection has more than 300 volumes including representative work of 148 people who live or have lived in town. The non-circulating special collection, which includes many different genres and books for all age levels, has been relocated to a more prominent spot on the third floor of the library.Â
The Newtown Authors Collection was established more than 25 years ago by the libraryâs long-time curator Caroline Stokes. Reference librarian Andrea Zimmermann recently assumed responsibility for the development of the collection while Mrs Stokes prepares for retirement.
The champagne reception is for adults and registration is required as space is limited. Sign up online on the libraryâs events calendar at BoothRef@CHBoothLibrary.org or by calling 426-4533.
The event is sponsored by The Friends of the C.H. Booth Library and the libraryâs Board of Trustees.
