The Obama Nation
The Obama Nation
To the Editor:
The Obama Nation. This great country, under the leadership of our new President, is going to change immensely over the next several years. This is his plan. This was always his plan. We were warned over and over again. The word âchangeâ was repeated thousands of times during his campaign. We did not fully understand what kind of change he would bring. Now we know.
The Obama Nation will be one that apologizes to those who want to destroy our form of government, who want to convert us to their fanatical religious beliefs, who want to kill us.
The Obama Nation will alter our longstanding capitalist system where freedom to become rich or stay poor resides with the individual. You will have neither the opportunity to succeed nor the choice to fail, because the government will determine your fate instead of personal initiative.
The Obama Nation has set on a path to centralize and control large companies, banks, health care, wages, and your everyday living conditions. Your future and the futures of your children and grandchildren will be determined by the government.
The Obama Nation will level the playing field socioeconomically. Wealth will be gradually shared with those who have less, until the âJonesesâ will all look alike. We will become a mediocre nation populated by mediocre people.
The Obama Nation will resemble the European countries. We will work less, earn less, and aspire less. We will be comfortable, but lazy and indifferent. Our military will be drawn down and weakened. We will attempt to talk our way out of war when war is necessary and when we lose the argument, we will surely lose the war.
The Obama Nation will look nothing like the nation that you live in today. We will simply be one of many nations, equal in stature, comparable in wealth, similar in strength. This two-and-a-quarter-century-old great melting pot will become nothing more than an ingredient in the great melting pot of the world. We will become undistinguished.
Think about the Obama Nation and repeat those two words frequently and fast and you will hear what sounds like a concise description of this new era in our countryâs history.
