Sandy Hook resident Cory Pineau, age 12, was recently diagnosed with Hodgkin’s disease, a lymphoma, and is currently receiving chemotherapy as a treatment. Cory’s determination and strength, along with continued community support, will help put this illness behind him.

Boy Scout Troop 370 is sponsoring a car wash this weekend, with all proceeds to benefit the Pineau family. The car wash will be held Saturday, June 27, from 9 am to 1 pm, at Newtown United Methodist Church, 92 Church Hill Road.

Donations of all sizes will be accepted. Anyone wishing to make a tax-deductible donation may also do so with checks written out to the Newtown Rotary Foundation — Cory Pineau Fund.
