Gloria H. Manson, 81, of Newtown, died June 20, at Danbury Hospital. She was the widow of John Manson. Mrs Manson was born May 19, 1928, in Trumbull, a daughter of William S. and Barbara (Bombero) Dillistin.

She had worked as a telephone operator for SNET, and enjoyed knitting and gardening.

She leaves two sons, Edward S. and Glen W. Rowland, both of Newtown; a daughter, Barbara Ruth Highton of Newtown; one granddaughter, Jennifer Murphy of Sandy Hook; two sisters; and three great-granddaughters.

Family and friends are invited to a graveside service Saturday, July 11, at 10 am, in St John’s Cemetery, Moose Hill Road, Monroe.

Arrangements are by Carpino Funeral Home, Southbury.
