This monthâs guest speaker will be professional genealogist and founding member of the group Harlan Jessup, whose topic will be âFinding Records of Your Civil War Ancestors.â Mr Jessup will discuss how to locate Civil War ancestors by searching service and pension records, as well as less well known census and burial records and published unit and personal histories. He will illustrate his program with examples from two of his great-great-uncles, one who fought for the Union and one for the Confederacy. Time will be allotted for questions and answers after the presentation.
