Entertainment Books are available once again. The cost is $22 and the book may be used right away. Please call NYS to arrange your purchase.
Moms Groups
Moms Groups run September 28 through December 7.
Moms of Babies â Newborns to 12 months â Meets every Tuesday from 10:30 to 11:30 am in the Parentsâ Corner.
Moms of Toddlers â Walkers to 24 Months â Meets every Thursday from 10:30 to 11:30 am in the Parentsâ Corner.
The fee for each of these groups is $25. Call NYS to register.
Moms of Multiples will meet once a month. Time and day of group is still pending. Please call if interested.
Gym Time â Meets every Wednesday, October 6 through December 15, at Edmond Town Hall from 10 am to noon. This is for walkers to preschool. Fee is $30. Please call if interested.
Attention High School And Middle School Students
Community service opportunities are still available. Call for additional information.
Job Bank
Job Bank is a service available to residents in need of assistance with jobs such as yard work, snow removal, baby-sitting, help with parties, computers, office work, and more. Contact Erin or Shannon at NYS with your job request and she can suggest a fee schedule appropriate for each job situation.
Parent Programs
Newtown Parent Connection Mark your calendars â Tuesday, September 28, from 7 to 9 pm, at Newtown Middle School. Internationally renowned motivational speaker Norm Bossio will kickoff this yearâs forums with âHow to Remain Calm on the Titanic: Secrets to Successful Parenting.â
Wednesday, October 20, 7 to 9 pm, at NMS, will feature substance abuse expert John Hamilton.

Hope and Support Group â If you are a parent with questions or concerns about your childâs possible or confirmed involvement with substances, you are invited to attend the Hope and Support group. This group meets Mondays from 7:30 to 9:30 pm in the Parentsâ Corner. All are welcome.
Youth Programs
Super Sitters Course â The first session of the school year will be held Wednesdays beginning on October 6 and continuing October 13, 20, 27, and November 3. Time is 3:15 to 4:45 pm. The fee is $40 and includes all materials and snack.

HYSAB â A community service group, will meet on Tuesday, September 28, at 5:30 pm at NYS. This group will meet on Tuesdays for the first few meetings, then move back to Mondays.
MYSAB â A community service group will hold its first meeting on Monday, September 27, from 2:15 to 3:15 pm. This group is open to all middle school-age students. Meeting days will alternate to accommodate studentsâ schedules. The location will be announced. Please call NYS for further information.
NYCAAP â An AIDS awareness group for high school students will meet on Wednesday, September 22, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm at NYS.
Children of Divorce â Grades 1 through 6. Meets first and third Monday of the month beginning on October 4 from 6 to 7:15 pm. This interactive group uses tools including art therapy and games.
SibShops â Grades 1 through 6. Meets the last Monday of the month from 5 to 7 pm. This group begins Monday, October 25 and is ongoing through May.
There is no fee for either Children of Divorce or SibShops.
