Beatrice R. Kocet

Beloved Mother And Grandmother

Beatrice R. Kocet, 82, of Newtown, died August 22, at Glen Hill Care & Rehab Center, Danbury. Mrs Kocet was the wife of the late John Kocet. She was born in Yonkers, N.Y., March 8, 1927, a daughter of Rosalia (Jaczyk) and Joseph Bertha.

Mrs Kocet was raised and educated in Fairfield and was a graduate of Roger Ludlowe High School. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, swimming, painting, bowling, and pets. Her greatest joy in life was her children and her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Mrs Kocet is survived by her children, Joseph Kocet and his wife, Holly, of Newtown, John Kocet and his wife, Patricia, of State College, Penn., Jeffrey Kocet and his wife, Kathy, of Bellefonte, Penn., Sandra Chaloux and her husband, David, of Oakville, and Suzanne Finnegan and her husband, David, of Southbury. She is also survived by seven grandchildren. A daughter, Stephanie Kocet, predeceased Mrs Kocet.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in St Rose of Lima Church, August 27. Interment followed in Newtown Village Cemetery.
