A Sacred Trust

HARTFORD — A forum on religion and the environment, “A Sacred Trust,” will take place Thursday, October 15, from 4 to 9 pm, at the Unitarian Society of Hartford.

The forum will present a keynote and workshops on environmental concerns. It is being presented by Hartford Seminary and the Interreligious Eco-Justice Network (IREJN).

The keynote is “Coming Home: The Oikos of God and Climate Change” by Michael Schut, economic and environmental affairs officer of the Episcopal Church.

Workshops will include “Community Gardening,” “Harvesting Local Energy,” The New Cosmology,” “Communicating Climate Change,” “Energy Efficiency for Homes and Business,” “Toxic Substance Control,” and “Spiritual Resources for Teaching and Preaching Creation.”

Workshop presenters include Dr Anthony Leiserowitz, Bettylou Sandy, Sharon and Richard Vocke, Rosemarie Greco, DW, Doug Cahill, and Sarah Uhl.
