Animal Centerâs Fur Ball To Benefit Local Homeless Cats
The Animal Center invites the public to attend the second annual Fur Ball at Country Kids Play Farm, 107 Old State Road in Brookfield from 3-6 pm on Sunday, October 11. (Please note the change in date from last weekâs announcement.)
The Animal Center will also celebrate its fifth anniversary. Money raised at the Fur Ball supports The Animal Centerâs efforts to support homeless cats and kittens.
The afternoon features live entertainment by the Clark Eno Orchestra, vegetarian food by chef Anne Gallagher, an open bar (wine and beer only), door prizes, raffles and gift bags filled with fun treats.Â
Tickets are $35 per person. Space is limited and reservations are recommended. Attire is casual. Tickets may be purchased through the Animal Centerâs website, theanimalcenter.org or by calling 270-0228.
âYour participation in this fun, fall event will greatly contribute to building a community in which all cats and kittens have a loving home,â said Jennifer Ingrao, Fur Ball co-chairperson. âThe Fur Ball makes it possible for The Animal Center to continue its existing work and develop innovative, life saving campaigns. So grab a friend and join us.â
The Animal Center is a Newtown-based charity focused on animal welfare. The Animal Center provides rescue and adoption services for homeless and abandoned kittens in the Newtown area, as well as spay/neuter services for stray and feral cats through their Feral Cat Assistance Program.
