Looking Ahead To Two More Years Of Service
Looking Ahead To Two More Years Of Service
To the Editor:
On behalf of the Board of Finance (BOF), and with a tremendous sense of humility and appreciation, I would like to thank the Town of Newtown for their support in this yearâs election. Never before in my years of service to the town have I received more positive notes and emails, calls and texts and comments regarding our collective efforts on the BOF. All six members of the BOF care deeply about our town and we will continue our efforts in the townâs best interests. All six of us understand the responsibility you have, once again, bestowed upon us.
I am proud to have served the Town of Newtown alongside of Marty Gersten, Harry Waterbury, Mike Portnoy, Joe Kearney, and Jim Gaston and look forward to continuing serving with them for the next two years.
I congratulate all who were successful in achieving election to their respective office. Perhaps of more importance, I congratulate all those candidates, whether they won or lost, whose efforts effected positive change this year, not only in the election, but to our town as a whole. Those efforts are commendable and will have a lasting impact on our town.
Thank you.
Respectfully,
John Kortze
