A Heartfelt Thank You

To the Editor:

I would like to thank the many friends and residents of Newtown who supported me in yesterday’s election. I would especially like to thank my husband Brian, and my children, Emily, Jimmy and Lexy, for their understanding, support, and encouragement.

I would also like to thank the Republican Town Committee for endorsing me and encouraging me, Jennifer Scarangella, Cyndy DaSilva, Anna Wiedemann, Kathy Fetchick, and Barbara Bloom who wrote letters to the editor on my behalf, my in-laws, John and Alex Leidlein, who helped address and stuff envelopes (they have The Bee delivered each week in Michigan) and my many friends who encouraged their neighbors to vote for me and came out to vote themselves. I look forward to representing you on the Board of Education and working to make Newtown a community where all children can and will learn well.
