A Successful Madrigal Feast

To the Editor:

Last Saturday evening, Newtown High School Choral Parents hosted a Madrigal Feast at Stony Hill Inn. Talented singers, along with very funny jesters, kept the crowd entertained, while they feasted on a wonderful dinner and bid on the silent auction. This auction would not be have possible without the donations from local businesses.

On behalf of NHS Singers, we would like the thank the following businesses for their generous donations: Chris Fadus; New Beginnings Spa; Tambascio’s; Sal e Pepe; Lexington Gardens; Newtown Youth Academy; Bagel Delight; Sabrina Style; Sandy Hook Diner; Lynne Erhardt, Silpada Designs; Hair Escape; Inspired Body; Inn at Newtown; and Dawn Bogdan, DDS. We collected enough money to be able to offer three college scholarships.

We’re forever grateful to the Singers for their wonderful voices, the jesters for keeping us in stitches all evening, John Harned for his dedication to the NHS choral program, Dr Janet Robinson for her support of the arts, and the many parent volunteers who donated items and helped make this evening a true success.
