Workshop: Rebuilding After A Life-Threatening Illness

DANBURY — If you have been recently diagnosed with a life-threatening illness and are having difficulty coming to terms with the diagnosis, Healing Hearts is offering a workshop that may help.

“How You Rebuild After Being Diagnosed With a Life-Threatening Illness” will be held January 7, from 4 to 5 pm, at The Healing Hearts Center for Grieving Children & Families, 73 Stadley Rough Road. The workshop will focus on living fully and will explore ways of coping with difficult feelings.

The workshop will be facilitated by Kendall Palladino, MDiv, ACPE. He is director of bereavement and spiritual services for Regional Hospice and oversees The Healing Hearts Center for Grieving Children & Families.

Mr Palladino, who has been working in spiritual and bereavement care since 1996, has degrees from Harvard University and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and is pursuing a doctorate at Princeton University.

The Healing Hearts Center for Grieving Children & Families, a program of Regional Hospice, offers numerous support groups, workshops and programs to the public free of cost throughout the year.
