Police report that while on patrol about 9:52 pm December 21, they stopped motorist Dana VanBuskirk, 20, of 18 Poverty Hollow Road near 28 Church Hill Road because of an apparent motor vehicle violation.

Police said that after stopping the unspecified vehicle, they had their German shepherd check it and the dog turned up some marijuana and a marijuana pipe.

Police said they charged VanBuskirk with possession of less than four ounces of marijuana and with possession of drug paraphernalia.

After processing the case, police released VanBuskirk on a written promise to appear January 6 in Danbury Superior Court.
