*After a very busy spring and early summer in Europe, ELVIS COSTELLO & THE IMPOSTERS will return to the US with a show in a show in Atlanta on July 17. A few nights later the band will be at the Oakdale Theatre.

 Tickets for the July 22 concert in Wallingford, with EMMYLOU HARRIS opening, will be on sale as of Friday, May 20. They’re available for $35, $45 and $55 through the Oakdale’s box office and all TicketMaster vendors.

 *THE ROLLING STONES will play only the second concert ever at Rentschler Field in August this summer. After playing three songs in front of Julliard School of Music last Tuesday afternoon, the band announced its itinerary for a world tour – the second of stop of which will be in East Hartford on Friday, August 26.

 Tickets for that show will be on sale Saturday, May 21, at 10 am, through TicketMaster vendors. Seats have been set at $60, $95 and $160, and if any of the 40,000 tickets are still remaining after Saturday morning they’ll be available from the box office at Hartford Civic Center (HCC won’t be open for first-day sales) beginning Monday, May 23.

 Maroon 5 will be opening the Hartford show.

 *Also on sale this weekend will be tickets for The Sugar Water Festival, a July 17 show headlined by QUEEN LATIFAH at Mohegan Sun Arena. Tickets have been set at $55.50 and $77.50 for the show that will also include performances by JILL SCOTT and ERYKAH BADU.

 DONNA SUMMER will be at the arena on Thursday, August 4. Tickets for that show ($35 and $45) will be going on sale Friday, May 27.

 Next month will see the on-sale for CROSBY, STILLS & NASH, who are scheduled to play the arena on Monday, August 8. Those tickets, also priced at $35 and $45, will be going on sale Saturday, June 11.

*Newtown resident MELISSA CARTOUN will return to Mocha Coffee House in Sandy Hook this weekend, on Saturday, May 21. This will be Melissa’s third show at the Glen Road eatery and music haven, and she will again be offering a folky acoustic performance. The show will run from 7 to 10 pm.

 *Also on Saturday in Newtown, HAT CITY BLUES BAND will return to the Fireside Inn for its Third Annual Hat City Blues Band Benefit Concert. The band is playing to raise funds for Newtown Youth Services, and showtime will be 8 pm. All ages are welcome.

 Members of local bands have also promised to pitch in to help Hat City Blues members with Saturday’s performance. According to Hat City Blues member David Lott, attendees can expect to see George Miller, a 22-year resident of Newtown and a member of the band Party Boss; Jay Wiley, also of Newtown, from Gutter Boogie; and Bob Stacy of Clashing Headstocks.

 The benefit show will also include a raffle, where attendees will be winning a share of over $300 in goods and services from local merchants.

 Tickets for the concert are $8 each and can be purchased at the door (which is at 123 Main Street South/Route 25).

 *On Sunday in Newtown there will be another big benefit concert, this one for victims of the tsunamis of southeast Asia in December. “Rock 2 Rebuild: A Tsunami Relief Concert” will hopefully be happening outside at Newtown High School, but if the weather patterns hold to what they’ve been producing for the past few weekends the event will still be held, it’ll just move indoors. Either way the event is scheduled for 1 to 6 pm, open to all ages.

 The Newtown High School Student Government is in part sponsoring the concert, which was the brainchild of THE DARIA MUSK TRIO, or DM3. Full details are presented on the Enjoy cover page this week, but in a nutshell: Admission is $5, with all proceeds going directly to UNICEF (which has promised to put Sunday’s money toward the rebuilding of a children’s hospital that was destroyed by the tsunami).

 Performers will be DM3, MYSTIC BOWIE and MUTTI LEWIS.
