Open House Rescheduled
As a result of a previously scheduled Nonnewaug High School Open House, the Ellis Clark Regional Agri-Science and Technology Center, located at Nonnewaug High School in Woodbury, has changed the date of the annual fall admissions open house from Thursday, September 28, to Wednesday, October 4, from 6:30 pm to 8 pm.
This open house program offers an opportunity for prospective candidates to tour the facility and speak with staff and current students. Demonstrations of actual classroom and lab activities will be presented throughout the program. In addition, the main high school building will be open for self-guided tours. Chairmen of the academic areas will be available to answer questions about course offerings in their respective areas. A formal welcome and introduction will take place in the auditorium from 6:30 pm to 6:50 pm.
The Agri-Science and Technology program provides training to high school students in the areas of Floriculture, Landscaping, Agricultural Production, Natural Resources, Agricultural Mechanics, Veterinary Science, and Horse Management. A complete academic curriculum is offered at Nonnewaug High School at honors, college prep, general, and remedial levels.
Nonnewaug is a comprehensive high school that serves the towns of Bethlehem and Woodbury. All extra-curricular activities, including athletics, clubs, music, and drama, are available to students enrolled in the agri-science and technology program.
The Clark Regional Program currently serves students from more than 20 towns in Western Connecticut at no cost to the students.
Any student currently enrolled in 7th through 11th grade is welcome to attend. Current students, staff, administration, and guidance personnel will be available to answer questions.
