Local Artists In Hospital Corridor Show And Sale
WATERBURY â The holidays are less than two months away. Looking for a Christmas gift or need a little color on your walls? How about a painting of âWinter Morningâ or âFog over the Housatonicâ?Â
The Waterbury Hospital Auxiliary has these paintings and many more local artists Carol Reilley and Dorothy Keck. Both artists are displaying their collection of photographs and paintings in Waterbury Hospital Auxiliaryâs Art Corridor through mid-November, with all images available for purchase.
 More than 30 paintings are being displayed in The Art Corridor, which is on the ground floor of the hospital. For information about the Art Corridor, call Auxiliary President Sybil Smith at 203/879-6662.
Carol Reilley, the owner of Studio of Art and Design in Newtown, has worked in oil, watercolor, pen and ink and charcoal for more than 30 years. She lectures for Connecticut universities and teaches watercolor classes on an ongoing basis. Mrs Reilley is a member of several local art leagues including Kent Art Association and Watertown Art League.
 Waterbury resident Dorothy Keck is a painting conservator with the sole focus of the restoration of oil paintings. Her background includes a bachelorâs of fine arts from Philadelphia Museum School of Art, and study at the Brooklyn Museum and Oscar Kokoschkaâs School in Salzburg, Austria. Ms Keckâs clients include collectors, galleries, framers and individuals gathering art.
