Editor’s Note

Last week, The Newtown Bee ran a record number of letters in its Letters Hive, including the comments and opinions of more than 70 people on seven pages. Never before in our memory have we provided the soapbox of our letters pages to so many people at once.

We discovered after publication last week that about half a dozen election-related letters were lost or delayed in e-mail processing (The Bee’s mail server processes about 90,000 e-mails a day) or were misdirected in our production database. To those letter writers, whose views spanned the political spectrum in this election, we apologize.
