Rooster Run Results

The 36th Annual Newtown Parks And Recreation Rooster Run, a 5K road race, was held on May 22. The race started and finished at the Newtown Municipal Center at Fairfield Hills. Kevin Hoyt, 19, of Newtown, won the race in a time of 15:37. Zachery Schwartz, 21, of Newtown was second in 15:42.

Former Newtown resident Caitlin Drap (formerly Swetts), of Yorktown, N.Y., was the top female finishers in a time of 20:34 and was followed by Amber Reuscoe, 20, of Sandy Hook, in a time of 21:18.

Tim Milenkevich, 28, placed third overall in 16:06; Matt Klein, 16, was fourth in 16:21;  Kristian Otten, 19, came in fifth in 17:46, narrowly beating out Scott Nichols, 20, and Ken Schelle, 40, both of whom crossed the finish line of in a time of 17:47 for sixth and seventh place, respectively. Brendan Collins, 31, was eighth in 18:06, Louis Garguilo, 32, was ninth in 18:10, and Chris Godin was 10th in 19:04.
