Another Viewpoint

To the Editor:

This follow up is a little late but much deserved.  Earlier this year I wrote in regard to the Newtown Middle School Climate Change assembly presented by the Alliance for Climate Change who believe global warming is human induced and that catastrophic changes are coming unless we act immediately. I pointed out that there was an opposing viewpoint in the scientific community as to the cause of climate change and that both viewpoints should be presented to the students.

My daughter informed me that two or three weeks ago someone came in and gave a presentation regarding the other viewpoint as to the cause of climate change.  I applaud the Newtown Middle School administration and teachers for their responsiveness to this parent’s concern and more importantly, for providing the students the opportunity to be educated on all the facts and viewpoints in which to form their opinion of this very important issue.
