Nicole Sieber received a bachelor of science degree in health education from Western Connecticut State University on May 23, and earlier this month Nicole was honored with the Dean’s Award for the School of Professional studies.

In Potsdam, N.Y., Stephen P. Graham of Sandy Hook graduated from Clarkson University on May 2010 with a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering with a minor in chemistry.

Newtown residents Erin Baier and Carol Russell and Sandy Hook residents Kelsey Cantore, Linda Magliocco, and Erin Nemeth were named on the spring 2010 Semester’s Dean’s List at Quinnipiac University in Hamden.

Margaret Riley, daughter of Mary Wilson, was inducted into the Ithaca College chapter of Phi Kappa Phi honor society recently in Ithaca, N.Y. Margaret is a junior sociology major in the college’s School of Humanities and Sciences.

Jamie Marcucilli of Sandy Hook received an undergraduate degree in tourism and event management from Champlain College, Burlington, Vt., on May 8 during commencement ceremonies.

Multiple area residents graduated from Bryant University, Smithfield, R.I., during a commencement ceremony on May 22. Those students were Mark Laslo, Matthew Meehan, and Thomas Wilson of Newtown and Joseph Brewer and Lauren Nemeth of Sandy Hook.

Megan Kristen Rogers of Sandy Hook, daughter of Robert and Linda Rogers, graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in unified elementary and special education from Juniata College, Huntingdon, Penn., on May 15. While at Juniata, Rogers achieved the Dean’s list from 2006 to 2010. She was also a member of PI Lambda Theta and was recognized in Who’s Who Among American College Students. Rogers is a graduate of Newtown High School.
