Blessing Of Animals At St Rose

The Annual Blessing of Animals will be held at the stable at St Rose Church at 9 am on Saturday, October 3. All pets are welcome (dogs on leash and others crated).

The ceremony takes about 20 minutes. Scottish vocalists and guitarists, Helen Malyszka and Trish Kiel lead the families in song.

A short reading in honor of St Francis, patron of all animals, is read and a special prayer is said for all of the homeless animals. The animals parade for an individual blessing.

St Francis medals are available and donations are accepted for the benefit of the animals at the Newtown Pound.
