The Community Was Heard

To the Editor:

I am very appreciative of, and encouraged by, the Legislative Council’s restoration of funds to the proposed education budget. It is heartening to know that the needs and desires of our community have been heard.

It is my hope that this momentous step is just the beginning of a continued dialogue surrounding the priorities of Newtown and the direction in which we as a community want to go. That can only happen if we pass the budget on June 8. Please vote Yes and help move Newtown forward.
