Thermosmobile At Trucking Museum

MIDDLEBURY — The Golden Age of Trucking Museum has on display a 1925 Ford Model TT Thermosmobile, which will remain in the museum’s showroom until June 2008.

The Thermosmobile is an advertising vehicle that was used by American Thermos Bottle Company. From 1913 until 1925, it traveled around the country to special events, political, sporting, and various exhibitions to promote the company, which was then based in Norwich.

The museum is at 1101 Southford Road, and has extended summer hours until the end of August: Tuesday through Saturday, 10 am to 4 pm, and Sunday, noon to 4 pm.

The museum is family friendly, with indoor and outdoor picnic areas and a hands-on children’s area offering fun for all ages. The museum features antique trucks, cars, boats, collectibles, photos, signs, license plates, and more.
