Bânai Israel Invites Community To Celebrate Everything Jewish
DANBURY â Congregation Bânai Israel, 193 Clapboard Ridge Road, will present its fifth annual Jewish Summerfest on Sunday, August 22, from noon to 6 pm.
This annual cultural festival features plenty of kosher food and baked goods, live music including Klezmer, Israeli and Yiddish music, plus Israeli folk dancing, Jewish art and artists, and film screenings.
There will also be free childrenâs activities, including a magician, balloon animals, a puppeteer, crafts, and storytelling.
Top prizes in this yearâs raffle include a 23-inch LCD TV, a $100 gift certificate to P.C. Richards, and an iTunes gift card.
Vendors will be selling Judaica, Israeli products, modern, vintage and African jewelry, art and more.
Free parking will be available at St Annâs Church, 181 Clapboard Ridge Road, with free shuttle service running to and from Summerfest.
Admission is free and the event will take place rain or shine.
