D-13 Cheerleaders Earn Third In  Regionals

The Newtown Nighthawks D-13 Cheerleading Team placed third in the Candlewood Valley Local Competition, State Competition and the New England Regional Competition.

The team had to decline an invitation to the National Competition in Orlando but ended the season on a high note with a third-place finish among top New England teams on November 21.

This team of seventh- and eighth-grade girls, many of whom had never cheered before, worked hard to have sharp performances in the competitions.
