Carmela M.  DeVietro
Carmela M. DeVietro, 81, of Bridgeport, a retired employee of St Vincentâs Medical Center, Bridgeport, in the medical records department, died April 3, at St Vincentâs Medical Center.
Survivors include her beloved family, her sisters-in-law, Gloria DeVietro of Newtown and Jean DeVietro of Bridgeport; her sisters, Phyliss Cascella of Bridgeport and Antoinette Piantedosi and husband, Anthony, of Bridgeport; many nieces and nephews; 30 great-nieces and great-nephews; and five great-great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister, Anna Sciarapa, and three brothers, Michael, Angelo, and Vincent DeVietro.
She was born in Laterezza, Italy, on June 2, 1923, and was the daughter of the late Ferdinando and Stella (Spinosa) DeVietro, and was a Bridgeport resident most of her life.
The funeral was April 7 in the Parente-Lauro Funeral Home, Bridgeport, and in Raphaelâs Church, Bridgeport. Entombment was in St Michael Chapel Mausoleum, Stratford.
