His Passions
Gennaro Carmine Prete, 39, of Oxford, co-owner of Jerryâs Auto Body in Bridgeport, died suddenly, November 18. Born in Bridgeport, January 15, 1971, he was the son of Vivian Fabrizio Prete and Gennaro Prete of Newtown.
Gennaro, known by his family and friends as Jerry, studied classical guitar at Hart School of Music. He had a passion for building and riding custom motorcycles. His motorcycles appeared in a Queen Latifah music video, and television and magazine advertisements, including one for Bausch + Lomb sunglasses.
In addition to his parents, survivors include a sister, LeeAnn Browett and her husband, Giles, of Southbury; his maternal grandmother, Susie Valente Fabrizio of Easton; a nephew, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Rolando Fabrizio, and his paternal grandparents, Carmine and Rosina DâAnnunziata Prete.
A Mass of Christian Burial took place at St Rose of Lima Church, Newtown, November 23. Entombment followed in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
