Robert Bruce Weber

Robert Bruce Weber, 68, of Stamford, died on June 20 at Sarasota Memorial Hospital due to cardiac arrest.

He was born in Stamford, December 16, 1933, the son of Mildred Wetherell Weber and the late Louis Weber.

In addition to his mother, survivors include two sons, Louis Bruce Weber of Newtown and Bruce Michael Weber of Hamden; a brother, Ronald Weber of Lakeland, Fla.; four grandchildren also survive. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his wife, Laura Elizabeth Durling Weber.

Mr Weber was a retired bookkeeper and teller and then went to work as a data processor, having worked for Stamford Trust Company and then First Union Bank, before his retirement in 1990.

Mr Weber volunteered at Turn of River Fire Department. He was an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America, Troop No. 8, and was a former member of the First Methodist Church of Stamford.

He was a veteran, having served in the US Army from 1955 to 1957.

A memorial service was held at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home and Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford. Interment was private.
