Music From Mexico And Cuba

DANBURY — Danbury Community Orchestra will perform under the direction of Stephen Michael Smith, music director and conductor, on Sunday, December 5, at 3 pm. The performance will be in Ives Concert Hall, on Western CT State University’s midtown campus at 181 White Street.

The 80 musicians in Danbury Community Orchestra are including exceptional high school, college and adult musicians from more than 15 area towns in the greater Danbury area.

The program will feature music from Mexico and Cuba. Cuban and Latin rhythms will permeate the concert and a full Latin rhythm section will be prominently featured.

The concert will run about one hour and is suitable for families with young children.
