*I have had the opportunity to see many of the bands I enjoyed listening to during the 80s and 90s, but I of the few I haven’t had the joy of seeing will be at The Ridgefield Playhouse in just a few weeks.

THE B-52s will be in Ridgefield on Sunday, January 23, at 8 pm. Tickets are $95 and $110; call 203-438-5795 or visit RidgefieldPlayhouse.org for details and tickets.

(At those prices, however, I’ll admit that it doesn’t look like this is going to be the time for me to see them.)

*I hope that any of you who have tickets for GREGG ALLMAN’s show at The Stamford Center for the Arts know that Wednesday’s show has already been rescheduled to Sunday, January 2.

The announcement came out Wednesday morning, and the last-minute rescheduling had to do with weather and transportation issues. Unfortunately it sounds like SCA is confusing things by making ticket holders call (203-325-4466) to exchange their tickets for the new performance. Good luck with all of it, folks.

Until next week, I’ll be seeing you… on the road.

Questions and comments should be sent to Shannon Hicks c/o The Newtown Bee, 5 Church Hill Road, Newtown CT 06470, or shannon@thebee.com, or call the office at 426-3141. Shows listed at clubs are for ages 21 and over unless specified.
