Former Newtown Businessman

Dennis Ceccarelli, 63, died January 2, in South Carolina, with his family at his side. He was the former owner of Ceccarelli Electrical Centers in Newtown.

Survivors include his loving wife Lynn Jersey Ceccarelli; son Dennis James and significant other, Barbra Anderson; brothers Thomas Ceccarelli, and his wife Roberta, of Shelton, and Raymond Ceccarelli, and his wife Janet, of West Haven; brothers-in-law Lewis Jersey, and his wife Susan, of Derby, and Bruce Jersey of Trumbull. He also leaves behind several cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Raymond Ceccarelli, Sr.

He loved fishing, working on and restoring old cars with his son, and also was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. He was also a former member of the 242nd National Guard in Stratford.

Funeral services will take place Saturday, January 8, at 10:30 am, in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11 am in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St Michael’s Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Saturday morning from 9:30 am until the time of service.
