P&Z Reelects Lilla Dean

As Chairman

The Planning & Zoning Commission (P&Z) has elected the agency’s officers for 2011.

In recent voting, the panel reelected both its chairman and secretary, and selected a new vice chairman. P&Z members elected all three officers without opposition.

Democrat Lilla Dean was reelected as chairman. Ms Dean has been the P&Z chairman since June 2007, when she replaced former P&Z member Republican William O’Neil in that role. Ms Dean was first elected to the P&Z in November 1997.

P&Z members elected Democrat Robert Poulin as their vice chairman. Mr Poulin replaces Republican Dennis Bloom in that role. Mr Bloom did not seek reelection. Mr Bloom had served as vice chairman since June 2007.

Also, P&Z members reelected Republican Jane Brymer as the agency’s secretary. Ms Brymer has served as the group’s secretary since December 2006.
