Jennifer Turk & Douglas Snow

Susan and Glenn Snow of Newtown announce the engagement of their son, Douglas S. Snow, to Jennifer E. Turk, daughter of Audrey and Gregory Turk of Bethel, Vt.

Douglas grew up in this area and, after traveling a great deal during and after his service to the US Marine Corps, moved to Vermont to work. He fell in love and decided to stay.

His list of achievements includes a variety of military decorations as well as being a certified welder and an experienced contractor. He is the eldest child in the Snow family, and Susan and Glenn’s only son.

Jennifer is a lifelong resident of Bethel, Vt. She returned to the area to teach after graduating from the University of Vermont and then finishing her master’s with the University of Phoenix. She is currently the English teacher at Rochester High School in Rochester, Vt.

She is the middle child in the Turk family, and Audrey and Greg’s only daughter.

The couple plans to marry in Vermont, although a date has not yet been set.
