Wine Tasting To Benefit

Hospital Breast Care Fund

NEW MILFORD — New Milford Spirit Shoppe will host a wine tasting event on Friday, April 1, from 6 to 9 pm, at Candlewood Valley Country Club, to benefit the New Milford Hospital Breast Care Fund. More than 100 wines and a selection of beers and champagnes will be available. Hors d’ouvres will also be offered.

Tickets are $25 and are available at New Milford Spirit Shoppe, (28 Grove Street; telephone 860-350-9463) and the New Milford Hospital Gift Shop (within the hospital at 21 Elm Street; telephone 860-210-7444).

New Milford Spirit Shoppe has hosted the wine tastings to benefit the Breast Care Fund at New Milford Hospital twice a year since 2006. Owner John NeJaime has raised more than $40,000 for the Breast Care Fund that provides community education, education supplies, and lymph edema care, among other services to the greater New Milford population.

“John NeJaime and New Milford Spirit Shoppe have proven what good neighbors they are through their dedication to raising money for this fund at New Milford Hospital,” said Eileen McCormack, manager of development operation at the New Milford Hospital Foundation.

The foundation raises funds for the hospital to continually upgrade medical technology, provide ongoing education to keep employees and medical staff current with the most recent advances, and support community health and wellness programs.
