Chamber Wine Tasting At McLaughlin Vineyards June 2
The Chamber of Commerce of Newtown will be hosting its Annual Wine Tasting networking event on Thursday, June 2, from 5:30 to 8 pm, at McLaughlin Vineyards, 14 Alberts Hill Road in Sandy Hook. Members from the Newtown, Bethel, Brookfield, Danbury, Monroe, and Tribury Chambers have been invited to attend.
Other organizations and individuals who have been asked to attend include the Newtown Economic Development Commission, BNI from Newtown, regional SCORE representatives, Newtown Rotary Club members, and Newtown First Selectman Pat Llodra.
McLaughlin Vineyards is a year-round farm dedicated to the production of quality wines and maple syrup in a natural environment. The 160-acre historic operation includes 15 acres of vineyards, a 2,500-case winery, hiking trails, wine education seminars, a sugar house, sugar maple trees, and even a 50-acre wildlife and bald eagle sanctuary.
Guests will have the opportunity to sample McLaughlin Vineyardsâ wines while networking with members of the areaâs leading business organizations. Appetizers will be provided by Andreaâs Pastry Shop, Blue Colony Diner, Butcherâs Best Market, Carminuccioâs Pizza, Francoâs Pizza, Iron Bridge Restaurant, Mona Lisa Restaurant, My Place Restaurant, Newtown Deli & Catering, One Eyed Pig, Sal e Pepe Contemporary Italian Bistro, The Meat House, The Inn at Newtown, UK Gourmet, and The Villa Restaurant.
The atmosphere will be complemented by decorations from Newtown Florist and music from violinist Lindsey Jones and guitarist Yossi Karmen-Glaser. Guests will be invited to participate in a raffle with prizes provided by McLaughlin Vineyards and Newtown Florist.
